Caf Calc is a caffeine-tracking utility published by ACApplications, LLC. It helps users compare caffeine intake with a customized limit.
What the app handles
Caf Calc handles caffeine entries and the information used to set and track a customized caffeine limit. When you connect Caf Calc to HealthKit, the app accesses HealthKit data needed for its caffeine-tracking features after you grant permission through iOS.
What leaves the device
Caf Calc accesses HealthKit through Apple-provided APIs. HealthKit data is not used for advertising. HealthKit data is not sold.
When advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or other embedded code transmits technical data from the installed version, that data leaves the device and is received by the service provider. HealthKit data is excluded from advertising data.
Third parties
Apple provides HealthKit, operating-system and app-distribution services used by Caf Calc. A service provider that receives technical data through embedded code processes the received data under that provider's terms and privacy policy.
ACApplications does not use HealthKit data for advertising and does not sell it.
Children
A parent or guardian can contact ACApplications about information associated with a child. ACApplications reviews and deletes personal information it controls when required by law.
Retention and deletion
Caffeine entries, limit settings and other information stored in Caf Calc's application container remain there until they are changed in the app or that container is removed through iOS. An iOS backup can retain a copy according to the user's Apple backup settings.
HealthKit records and permissions are controlled through Apple's Health app and iOS settings. Information processed by an embedded service is retained under that provider's terms.
Your choices
You choose which caffeine information to enter and whether to connect Caf Calc to HealthKit. You control HealthKit permissions and data through Apple's Health app and iOS settings. Deleting Caf Calc through iOS removes its application container from the device, subject to the user's backup and HealthKit settings.
Changes to this policy
This policy changes when Caf Calc or its data practices change. The updated policy is posted on this page with a new effective date.
