Pocket Chips is a virtual poker-chip utility published by ACApplications, LLC. It is no longer distributed on the App Store. This policy remains available for people who still have the app installed.
What the app handles
Pocket Chips handles virtual chip balances and the values used during a chip exchange. When you use the QR-code trading feature, the app handles the code and exchange information needed to transfer chips between participating players.
What leaves the device
When you present or scan a trade QR code, the exchange information represented by that code is disclosed to the other participating player and device. When the scanner uses the camera, iOS controls camera access through its permission system.
When advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or other embedded code transmits technical data from the installed version, that data leaves the device and is received by the service provider.
Third parties
The other participant in a chip trade receives the exchange information represented by the QR code. Apple provides the operating-system and app-distribution services used by Pocket Chips.
A service provider that receives technical data through embedded code processes the received data under that provider's terms and privacy policy.
Children
A parent or guardian can contact ACApplications about information associated with a child. ACApplications reviews and deletes personal information it controls when required by law.
Retention and deletion
Chip balances, settings and other information stored in Pocket Chips' application container remain there until they are changed in the app or that container is removed through iOS. An iOS backup can retain a copy according to the user's Apple backup settings.
Information disclosed to another player through a trade is controlled by that recipient after the exchange. Information processed by an embedded service is retained under that provider's terms.
Your choices
You choose whether to use QR-code trading and which trade to complete. You control camera permission through iOS. Deleting Pocket Chips through iOS removes its application container from the device, subject to the user's backup settings.
